Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is ABA Therapy?
ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Therapy is a research based approach which focuses on producing meaningful and lasting behavior change. This can include decreasing behaviors of concern, as well as increasing desired behaviors/skills. Every ABA session looks different! Depending on the individual needs of your child and how they learn, we work as a team to determine the best approach. Our goal is to have an effective therapy session, and have fun while we do it!
How many hours per week will we spend in therapy?
Each child's prescription of hours is based on their individual needs, which is determined during the comprehensive initial assessment. On average, the time commitment can range from 10 to 30 hours per week. Learners graduate from services once all goals, which can change over time, are met and maintained; this can look different for each child.
How do we pay for services?
We accept most major commercial insurance for ABA Therapy, if your child has autism or other qualifying diagnoses. We also accept the FES-UA scholarship (formerly Gardiner) as well as self-pay. Please reach out to learn more about our self-pay rates!

Who is part of my child's therapy team?
Generally your child's therapy team will consist of two clinicians. A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who provides the direct therapy day to day, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who develops and monitors the goals, provides supervision and training to the RBT, and serves as the caregivers point person.
What is the caregiver's role in ABA Therapy?
Caregiver involvement is critical to the success of your child's ABA journey. We provide consistent caregiver coaching sessions, in order to model, review, and role-play how you can reinforce and implement the goals of therapy.
